Shuangming Chai (柴双明)

Biography

Shuangming Chai is currently a postdoctoral researcher at School of Mathematical Sciences and Anhui Center for Applied Mathematics, in University of Science and Technology of China.
He worked as an algorithm engineer at Shining 3D Tech Co., Ltd. from July 2019 to November 2021.
He received a PhD degree in Computational Mathematics in 2019 from University of Science and Technology of China, supervised by Prof. Ligang Liu and Prof. Xiao-Ming Fu.
He received a BSc degree in Information and Computing Science in 2014 from University of Science and Technology of China.
He worked at Microsoft Research Asia as an intern from July 2013 to May 2014, mentored by Dr. Yang Liu.

Research Interests

• Digital geometry processing, including mesh modeling, parameterization, remesh, deformation, morphing, denoising, simplification, etc.
• Computer-aided geometric design, including freeform surface modeling, subdivision surface modeling, implicit surface modeling, solid modeling, fairing, etc.
• Computer-aided engineering, including structure analysis in 3D printing, shape optimization, finite element analysis, iso-geometric analysis, etc.
• Optimization methods, inverse engineering, physics-base simulation, virtual reality, machine learning, and other related topics.
